Antarctica Expeditions
The fleet of Zodiac landing craft carried on board extends the Caledonian Star's reach even further, allowing you to venture off the ship almost anywhere, at a moment's notice. They are one of the keys to the Lindblad Expeditions style of travel. You'll also find sea kayaks for our guests' use, for quiet personal exploration in the remote places we go. Each cabin is attractively furnished, with lower beds, a private toilet, sink and shower, mirrors, reading lights and plenty of space to hang and store clothing. There is a sound system for announcements, news and music. Each cabin has individual climate controls. A Wide Choice of Inviting Public Areas
Outside, there's a Veranda Deck with tables and chairs and a Swimming Pool -- the perfect place to relax and watch the scenery, or enjoy a dip. There's also a partly covered Sun Deck. The Observation Deck offers you a panoramic view. If you'd like to learn about navigation, our "open bridge" policy means that you're welcome to join the Captain and officers as they operate the ship. You'll also find a well-stocked Shop with souvenirs and gift items, and a hair salon. There is a full-time doctor on board. The international cuisine is outstanding, and you'll enjoy the ambiance of the dining room, where meals are served in one unhurried seating. Because tables are unassigned, there's an atmosphere of easy informality and a chance to meet the staff and your traveling companions. The Caledonian Star is fully stabilized, making for an exceptionally smooth ride. She complies with international regulations of SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea). Length: 295 feet |
