General Terms and Conditions

TERMS and CONDITIONS: The terms and conditions set forth herein are the sole contract between E&M Travel located at 3 Pleasant Valley Lane, Westport CT 06880 and the traveler(s). Payments for airline and/or tour packages are accepted by E&M Travel with the understanding that participant(s) have been made aware of, and agree to all conditions of this agreement prior to participant sending E&M Travel monies or credit card authorization. E&M Travel acts only as an agent in capacity for air carriers, hotels, tour operators, and other suppliers of services and shall not be held responsible for any injury or for any loss or damage caused by accident or event beyond their control, or by any action or negligence of attendants or third parties who are not in their employ. E&M Travel can accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delay or changes in air, sea or other services, sickness, weather, strike, war, quarantine or other

causes. The right is reserved to make adjustments to the itinerary. Prices are based on current tariffs and exchange rates are subject to adjustments in the event of any change therein. The right is reserved to accept or decline any member of the tour. No refund will be made for unused portion of the tour unless arrangements were made before departure from gateway city. The issuance of acceptance of voucher or ticket shall be deemed to be consent to the above conditions. The passenger ticket in use by said airlines when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and the purchaser of these tickets and/or traveler.

Baggage: Each passenger has baggage allowance of 70 pounds, not exceeding 2 check-in pieces. Each passenger may take 1 carry-on which must fit under seat or overhead compartment.

Cancellations: Your deposit with E&M Travel is fully refundable up until your Final Payment is due, which is 45-60 days prior to departure depending on the tour operator used. If cancellation is received in writing via certified mail and arrives at our agency in the time frame indicated below. During holiday Periods Full Payment is typically due 60 days prior to departure and cancellation policies are stricter. If cancellation is received 45 to 15 days prior to departure $100.00 per person will be withheld, 15 days to day of departure - no refund. No shows - no refund. Processing of refunds take 4 to 6 weeks after departure date. The above cancellation policy is subject to certain additional charges within the 45 to 15 day policy based on hotel rules and regulations. After departure from home to your vacation, there will be no refund for any unused portion including hotels, tour companies, pre-purchased excursions, airlines services.

Documentation: Travel to most Caribbean Islands and foreign countries requires U.S. citizens to carry proper proof of citizenship, which is your original or notarized birth certificate, with a raised seal, plus a state issued photo ID, such as your driver's license or voters registration card with photo. A passport is optional, but always preferred.
If time allows, we recommend that you get a Passport. The participant takes full responsibility and must determine the proper documents needed before going to any foreign country. There is a risk that the participant can be denied boarding or denied entry back into the USA if proper documents are not presented.

Trip Cancellation Insurance: We highly recommend purchasing trip cancellation insurance. Insurance protects your valuable investment. If you decline Insurance, you must sign the insurance waiver on this form. Below, you will see the reasons you may cancel trip:

  1. Sudden and unexpected illness, of you, or an immediate family member.
  2. Death of any immediate family member, prior to departure, including en route to airport.
  3. Broken Limbs, (arms, leg, etc.)
  4. Jury Duty, Subpoena
  5. Accident, including en route to the airport

To receive the benefits of any of the above options, passengers must adhere to the following requirements. We must be notified of cancellation before tour departs and written proof must accompany reason 1 to 5 (Doctor's note, Police Report, Copy of Court Documents) trip interruption, trip delay, baggage delay, medical emergency while on vacation , accidental death and dismemberment, 24-hour emergency hotline service are also available by purchasing a more comprehensive insurance that we offer. Once you purchase the plan, E&M Travel will provide a copy of insurance and description of services that gives details of the program, insurance benefits /service limits, including restrictions, limitations and exclusions.
