Opened
in the summer of 2000 and located near the center of Venice, a very short walk
from St. Mark's Square, this little gem has rooms that are small and charming.
The owner is a building contractor, thus everything is completely new and very
well done. Rooms are furnished with traditional furnishings and each one has
in-room safe, satellite television, minibar and computer modem connection.
Bathrooms are marble. Rooms 401 and 402 are adjacent to each other and are often
used for families.There is a small reception area with a breakfast room adjacent
to it. The hotel is not on a canal and, therefore, does not have a boat dock.
However, water taxis can pick clients up from the boat dock at the Europa &
Regina, which is just across the square from the Anastasia. The rates are
excellent for this very central location in Venice. While rooms are not large as
this is a three-star hotel, feedback has been excellent. Patrizia and Giorgia,
the hotel's capable managers, do a superb job to ensure clients are happy.
NOTE: SAN
MARCO is closest stop for guests arriving by public vaporetto. There are no
porters at this hotel. Clients must handle their own luggage.
