Bucharest Cruise Excursion from Constanta Port
“Bucharest with Parliament visit” , 10 hours

Detailed tour description:
Discover the beauty and architecture of historic Bucharest during this full-day tour that includes visits to the Metropolitan Church and of the Palace of Parliament. Upon arrival in Bucharest, your sightseeing drive will take you through the tree-lined boulevards and busy squares en route to the most popular and important attractions in the city. Along the way, you will see a diverse mix of architecture reflecting various époques and cultures. As you pass by the Press Square, you will see the enormous Press House, or Casa Presei, a replica of the Moscow Lomonosov University and the symbol of Stalinist culture.
Built in 1957, the Press House is currently home to an abundance of editorial offices, and the Romanian Stock Exchange.
Once known as Little Paris, Romania's capital has its own Arc de Triumph, which you will see as you drive along the elegant Soseaua Kiseleff, a boulevard longer than the famous Champs Elysees in Paris. The 88-foot-high structure was erected in 1922, and is dedicated to the victories of the Romanian armies during World War I. Crossing Victoria Square, you will then drive down Calea Victoriei Street to see majestic public buildings that include the National History Museum and Main Post Office. A photo stop will then be made at Revolution Square. Here, you will see one of the splendid architectural monuments, either the Neo-Classical-styled Concert Hall, or the 1888-built, Romanian Athenaeum.
Next, you will see the Royal Palace, which was constructed in 1937 and now houses the National Art Museum, as well as the feudal art sections of the Universal Gallery.
Continue on to view the spectacular Central University Library, constructed in 1900, before your visit of the 12-story Palace of Parliament the second largest building in the world after the Pentagon. A reminder of Romania's Communist epoque, Romanians are extremely proud of the Palace, which was designed exclusively by Romanian architects using solely Romanian materials.
After your photo stop, you will pass by Metropolitan Church Hill, home of the Metropolitan Church. Built between 1656 and 1658 by Prince Constantin Serban Basarab, the Church served as the Wallachian Metropolitan seat during the 17th century. A stop will be made at a cozy restaurant located in the center of Bucharest , for a delicious Romanian style lunch.
