Danubius Thermal Hotel Helia was opened in 1990. The hotel is situated on the Pest side embankment of the Danube River, opposite Margaret Island. All rooms are air conditioned. The Medical Department offers complete and basic spa therapy. Fitness facilities include indoor pool, thermal baths, sauna, steam baths, gym, tennis and solarium.
Spa Hotel Gellert. A fine example of the traditional European Grand Hotels, the Hotel Gellert is located on the Buda side of the Danube River. Since its opening in 1928 it has been an epitome and superb service. The hotel has 235 guest rooms, many of them facing the river, providing a magnificent view of the Pest side of Budapest. The spa section is utilizing the medicinal water of the Gellert Hills mineral hot springs. The thermal water is radioactive with calcium, magnesium, hydrocarbonate, alkalis, chloride and fluoride content. The setting of the main swimming pool reflects the spa's ancient past with its Romanesque colonnade supporting a towering vaulted roof. Facilities include thermal pools, tub baths, bubble bath, underwater jet massage and traction bath.
Heviz Health Resort. The 12 acre Thermal Lake at Heviz has been known and used since the Roman times. It is fed by a natural hot spring, which results a complete change of the lake's water every day. The water contains sulphide and radon, the bottom of the lake is covered by mud containing organic components. Water temperature in summer 92-96F. In the winter 86F. The resort's first hotel, Danubius Thermal hotel Heviz was completed in 1976. The therapy center provides complete health resort treatments under direct medical supervision. There is an indoor and outdoor thermal pool as well. The Dental Center offers maintenance and prosthetic dentistry. In 1984 the gambling casino was opened. Danibus Thermal Hotel Aqua was opened in 1984. The Therapy Center has the latest equipment for mechanotherapy, electrotherapy, physiotherapy and underwater massage. Facilities include an indoor thermal pool, sauna, fitness center, sun terrace and solarium.
Sarvar Health Resort. A unique Health Resort in the "Kings Garden", Sarvar - is located in Western Hungary, in the heart of a Transdanubian small town, 130 miles from Budapest and 75 miles from Vienna. The famous Nadasdy castle, former residence of the Bavarian King Lewis III is still in town. Thermal Hotel Sarvar was completed in 1985, built in the middle of a 25 acre forest reserve (Kings Garden). Sarvar is endowed with two different thermal springs, one at 111F to cure rheumatic diseases, and the other at 181F with a high saline concentration for patients suffering from gynecological or respiratory deceases. The hotel has its own Therapy Center, with a thermal pool, underwater jet massage, mud packing, electrotherapy, saline bath, inhalation therapy room, solarium, sauna and fitness center. A fully equipped and professionally staffed Dental Department provides all types of dental care. There is a riding school nearby and tennis is also available.
Buk Thermal Resort is situated in the Western Part of Hungary, near the Austrian border, 140 miles from Budapest, 35 miles from the famous Transdanubian city of Sopron and 78 miles from Vienna. The local thermal water at temperature of 136F is rich in calcium and magnesium. Thermal Hotel Buk was completed in 1986 with 200 guest rooms. The therapy center has a thermal pool, the most up-to-date equipment for balneotherapy, underwater jet massage, mud pack, electrotherapy and medical gymnastics. The Dental Department provides all types of dental care.
