Le Riserva Montebello, Bolsena
"La Riserva Montebello" is a farmhouse in the very heart of central Italy on the border of Lazio, Tuscany and Umbria regions. The farm offers accommodations for 40 guests.
The rooms, each with its own bathroom, are in three country houses divided in rooms, each house is provided with swimming pool and each room has bathroom, television and a beautiful view of the lake. The property boasts 30 hectars of woodland, kiwi, olive plantations and stock farming. Situated of the slopes of the hills overlooking Lake Bolsena (300 mt. sea level) the Riserva (450 mt. above sea level) offers the visitors a breathtaking view of the lake and surrounding countryside. Particularly noteworthy is its mild climate, even throughout summer months, a pleasure breeze in the morning and evening and the enchantment of endless glowing sunsets.

The food is simple: natural Italian "farmhouse cooking", based on farm's own local produce and cooked freshly every day.
La Riserva Montebello offers numerous activities: 3 swimming pools, horse riding, ping-pong, recently built tennis court, archery and sailing in the Lake of Bolsena.
The Riserva, wich lies in the heart of the ancient Etruscan Museum at Tarquinia to the beauties of the Papal Villas and Italia Gardens such as the nearby Palazzo Farnese and Villa Lante della Rovere, all within easy reach of Bolsena. Of particular interest is the enchanting Papal Isola Bisentina, a tiny island situated in the middle of the lake of Bolsena. For guest without car, the owners provide a shuttle service to Orvieto Station or Fiumicino Airport (Rome) or any other destination required.

Transfers from Florence, Pisa and Rome are arranged on request. Also transfers from Orvieto train station are arranged if needed. The farmhouse equipped with 2 busses and four Land Rovers.

The Renaissance Tour includes
the visit of Bomarzo with the famous
Villa Lante in Bagnaia built by order of two cardinals and designed by
Vignola, is a compliment to the gods of water and it is considered the most
beautiful Renaissance garden in Italy. Civita di Bagnoregio, the dying town
rising on a clay rock that can be reached by a bridge, surrounded by an
incredible panorama.
The Etruscan Tour including the visit of Bolsena with the Etruscan-Roman museum housed in the castle of Cervara della Monaldesca, with finds on the history of the lake, the excavations in the archaeological area of ancient Volsinii, the cathedral and the catacombs of Saint Christina, Tuscania with the very well preserved historical center,
Gothic cathedrals and Tarquinia (Etruscan museum, house din Vitelleschi
palace and painted polychrome tombs) exceptional picture of Etruscan life. We
also organize a sightseeing tour to Orvieto where you can admire the wonderful
Gothic cathedral, Saint Patrice's will, extraordinary example of Renaissance
engineering and the underground town.
Cooking classes with the assistance of the cook and a
simultaneous English translator. During the lesson the guests learn how to
prepare some kinds of Italian traditional hand-made pasta (tagliatelle, gnocchi,
lasagne, ombrichelli, fettuccine, ravioli etc.) and other typical dishes and
they eat what they have prepared for lunch.
