La Jolla de Mismaloya has restored a number of the buildings, in which stars such as Richard Burton, Ava Gardner, Deborah Kerr and Sue Lyon stayed and dined.

Two restaurants at Iguana Hill, Noche de la Iguana Set and Iggy’s Kids Restaurant, have been added. Noche de la Iguana Set, which sites on a promontory overlooking the bay, is housed in Hotel Costa Verde - the center of action in the film. At the restaurant’s bar patrons can watch the "Night of the Iguana", as well as a short about the making of the film on a giant television screen. The full bar features a selection of more then 100 brands of tequila from Jalisco state.  Noche de la iguana Set serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Iggy’s Kids restaurant, also located in one of the original buildings of the set, offers parents an opportunity to drop their children off while they dine at Noche de la Iguana Set. The venue, designed for kids ages 14 and under, features a children’s menu and open daily.

Iguana Hill also has two other restaurants: Huston’s Cafe, located in the building where John Huston edited the film and made nightly script changes, and Raicilla Ranch, where a local creates the popular Mexican drink raicilla.  Iguana Hill is accessible via a new walkway from La Jolla de Mismaloya’s main building, from the highway or by boat.

Other additions at La Jolla de Mismaloya include a watersports center offering diving, snorkeling, kayaking and the use of Wave Runners.

The Discovery, a 64-foot catamaran that can accommodate 100 guests for private parties and 50 guests for tours, is new. The Discovery offers daytime cruises to Los Arcos National Marine Park for snorkeling and to the beaches of Las Animas and Quimixto.
