Day Five: Uxmal and Merida
Uxmal is one of the largest and most beautiful of Yucatan's Classic/Post-classic citises of the Puuc region. Tour Uxmal's Temple of the Magician, Quadrangle of the Nuns, Governor's Palace and the stunning carved stones of the House of Doves. Next, head for the glorious city of Merida and its Paseo Montejo, one of the most beautiful avenues in Mexico. View the parks, the old Spanish missions, and the French colonial architecture.

Day Six: Kzibchaltun, Chicxulub, Ixamal and Valladolid
The significance of Dzibilchaltun lies in its stucco sculptures and ceramics from all the Mayan periods. Visit the seaside towns of Progreso and Chicxulub before stopping at the colonial town of Izamal with its huge convent. Overnight in Valladolid.

Day Seven: Coba, Tulum and Playa del Carmen
At Coba, walk on roads build over 1000 years ago. At Tulum, one of the few Mayan sites built on the coast, explore the Inscriptions Temple and the Castle. Tulum sits on a ridge with a spectacular view of the sea. Farewell Dinner and overnight in the seaside town of Playa del Carmen.

Day Eight: Departure
Transfer to Cancun Airport.

Day One: Arrive Villahermosa
Airport greeting and transfer to hotel for Welcome Dinner and reception.

Day Two: La Venta Park and Palenque
The innovative museum at La Venta Park displays important Olmec works in a lush tropical setting. Lunch en route to Palenque, one of the best preserved Maya sites. This Classic Period city reached its zenith during the reign of Pacal the Great. His tomb in the Temple of the Inscriptions stands as one of the greatest discoveries of Maya archaeology. Explore the Royal Sepulcher, the Palace, then Group of the Cross, the Temple of the Inscriptions and Pakal's Tomb.

Day Three: Agua Azul and Campeche
After visiting the blue cascades of Agua Azul, motor north to the historic walled city of Campeche on the Gulf of Mexico. Campeche was built on the site of an early Maya center. It is one of the peninsula's most colorful colonial cities. In 2000 UNESCO named Campeche a "World Heritage Site".

Day Four: Edzna, Kabah and Uxmal
Tour several of Campeche's churches and museums and then Edzna with its Great Acropolis and 102 foot monumental Late-Classic Temple of Five Stories. Visit Kabah before arriving in Uxmal in time to enjoy the Light and Sound Spectacle.
