Hotel Spa Ixtapan, Mexico
| Mexico's first
resort spa, the Hotel Spa Ixtapan has a 40-year tradition of offering
wonderful, healthy vacations. If you're looking for a complete spa program
in a full-service resort, this one of the best values you can find. The
property offers four different spa programs. Each is designed to meet a
guests’ individual health, fitness, toning, and weight-loss needs.
Provided under medical supervision, all spa programs offer a regimen that
combines good nutrition, daily exercise, and health and beauty treatments.
There are several alternative medicine offerings to experience as well. |

everyone at Hotel Spa Ixtapan. Try hiking, horseback riding, or swimming
in the outdoor exercise pool. Relax in the Jacuzzi or the sauna, or take a
meditation or yoga class. For the active minded, aerobics classes are
plentiful, and the tennis and golf facilities are right on the property.

| Hotel Spa Ixtapan is located on the
site where the ancient Aztec emperor Montezuma used to come to enjoy the
therapeutic mineral springs. Today, more than ever, visitors are still
coming here, attracted by the springs, the spa, the resort's extensive
facilities, and the excellent value. The hotel has recently undergone
extensive renovations, has upgraded its fitness facilities, and created a
beautiful new spa treatment center. A variety of other features at the
resort include a miniature train ride around the scenic property,
horse-drawn carriage rides, evening dances, and bowling. |

archeological sites and scenic lakes that can be explored on foot, by
mountain bike, or by car. There is also excellent shopping in the artisan
stores in the nearby town of Taxco. |

What's new - refurbished in 2002
Sport Center: located across the lobby on main access drive, brand new expansion to spa facilities, dedicated exclusively for guests in 4,7,21,28 day programs. This area includes the following facilities:
2,000 sq feet multi-purpose hall with special lighting, climate control, cushioned carpeting and hi-tech audio. This hall will be used for aerobics and yoga in the morning and orientation and lectures in the afternoon.
2,600 sq feet gymnaisum with paramount station and free weights, life fitness treadmills, cycles, climbers, rowers and the latest cybex equipment and tv linked to several cable channels.
Computer area with internet access and related services
Juice bar with a vast selection of fruit, vegetables, grains and vitamin combinations for juices prepared a la carte
Spa
Massage rooms - added 5 more massage rooms to accommodate a higher demand and to provide more flexibikity during scheduling
Womens Spa:expansion inlcudes a new beauty salon, 1 1,200 sq feet bathroom and lockers, an additional steam room and scheduling office.
Aquatics Pool: due to the reasons beyond hotel's control, Hotel Spa Ixtapan will no longer have mineral water in the pool. Thus it will be converted to clear water, specializing in the adequate depth, temperature and railing for the aquatics lessons. Next to this will be two kids pools and the water slide, converting the other large pool for adults only on weekend and holidays.
Theater: The 250 seats theater will be undergo an extensive renovation and upgrade of seats, audio and video equipment, thus enhancing the daily movie showings and special presentations on weekends.
Rooms: all rooms received an upgrade and light renovation.
Championship Golf course: 12 holes are currently open. This golf course has been rated among the top 5 in Mexico.
