From Boston Common, center of early culture and colonial government, to the Old North Church belfry that signaled the beginning of the Revolutionary War, Boston reflects a heritage which is part of every American. Sightsee the landmark attractions of Boston this morning and browse through Quincy Market. Depart the city in the afternoon for a visit to Salem and the Peabody Essex Museum, featuring over one million works detailing maritime art and history. Travel the rocky coast of New Hampshire and Maine to Portland; following dinner, board the Scotia Prince for overnight passage to Nova Scotia. Meals BD 3. French Shore / Digby Your ship docks at Yarmouth after breakfast. Journey along the French shore through quaint coastal villages that reflect their French Acadian history. Arrive for lunch at The Pines Resort, a beautiful hotel that overlooks the Annapolis basin. After lunch, visit Peggy's Cove; this quaint little fishing village stands on solid rock and reflects a character unique to North America... it's an artist's dream... thousands are attracted here every year. The countless islands and coves of this part of Nova Scotia will delight all who love ocean vistas. Arrive in the provincial capital, Halifax, and explore its rich legacy of history on a two-night stay. Meals BLD 5. Sightsee Halifax Sightsee Halifax, with an opportunity to view the harbor from atop Citadel Hill. Enjoy a sightseeing cruise of Halifax Harbor and the Northwest Arm, a beautiful residential area. Cape Breton National Park The morning is at your leisure in this beautiful resort, located high on a rock promontory overlooking the blue waters of the North Atlantic. Leave Cape Breton, cross the Canso Strait and travel to Pictou for lunch. Catch an early afternoon ferry from Caribou, Nova Scotia, to Wood Islands, Prince Edward Island. Cross the Northumberland Strait, which separates Nova Scotia and New Brunswick from Prince Edward Island; these are some of the warmest waters of the North Atlantic – one of many reasons Prince Edward Island is a favorite summer resort for Eastern Canadians.
