1. Arrive Boston

Welcome to Boston, one of America's oldest cities, where you will discover over 350 years of America's history. We invite you to join us for a welcome reception and dinner. 2. Cruise to Yarmouth
Boston is truly the cradle of American history. From Boston Common, center of early culture and colonial government, to the Old North Church belfry that signaled the beginning of the Revolutionary War, Boston reflects a heritage which is part of every American. Sightsee the landmark attractions of Boston this morning and browse through Quincy Market. Depart the city in the afternoon for a visit to Salem and the Peabody Essex Museum, featuring over one million works detailing maritime art and history. Travel the rocky coast of New Hampshire and Maine to Portland; following dinner, board the Scotia Prince for overnight passage to Nova Scotia. Meals BD

3. French Shore / Digby
Your ship docks at Yarmouth after breakfast. Journey along the French shore through quaint coastal villages that reflect their French Acadian history. Arrive for lunch at The Pines Resort, a beautiful hotel that overlooks the Annapolis basin. 4. Port Royal / Peggy's Cove
This morning visit the Habitation, at Port Royal, the oldest permanent settlement north of the Gulf of Mexico. Continue through the fertile farmland of the Annapolis Valley to Grand Pré National Historic Site, dedicated to Longfellow's immortal poem Evangeline. After lunch, visit Peggy's Cove; this quaint little fishing village stands on solid rock and reflects a character unique to North America... it's an artist's dream... thousands are attracted here every year. The countless islands and coves of this part of Nova Scotia will delight all who love ocean vistas. 5. Sightsee Halifax
Sightsee Halifax, with an opportunity to view the harbor from atop Citadel Hill. Enjoy a sightseeing cruise of Halifax Harbor and the Northwest Arm, a beautiful residential area. Back on land, the afternoon is at your leisure; be sure to visit the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic; Pier 21, which is Canada's historic immigration port; or the Public Gardens, beautifully landscaped with flowers and trees from around the world. 6. Marine Drive / Liscomb MillsCapr Breton
Travel along Marine Drive on Nova Scotia's eastern shore, "where forest meets the sea." Picturesque harbors and coves please the eye at every bend of the road. Travel through quaint villages to Sherbrooke Village, a restoration of an 1860's mining and lumber town. The remainder of the afternoon is spent at your leisure at Liscombe Lodge, nestled in a beautiful location. Meals BLD

7. Baddeck / Cabot Trail
Drive through Antigonish to the Canso Strait, separating the mainland of Nova Scotia from Cape Breton Island. Travel along Bras D'or Lake to Baddeck for lunch and a visit to the Bell Museum, which contains Alexander Graham Bell's remarkable collection of early inventions. Take the Cabot Trail over Cape Smokey for an overnight at Keltic Lodge – The Inn at Keltic / Cottages. Meals BLD

8. Cape Breton National Park
The morning is at your leisure in this beautiful resort, located high on a rock promontory overlooking the blue waters of the North Atlantic. It is an ideal place for swimming, golfing, photography or just relaxing. Continue along the Cabot Trail this afternoon. The lovely countryside becomes rugged as the Cabot Trail, one of the most scenic and spectacular highways on the continent, winds through Cape Breton Highlands National Park... past majestic bluffs... over the summits of lofty peaks... and through deep, stream-lined valleys. 9. Canso Strait / Pictou
Your destination today is Prince Edward Island. Leave Cape Breton, cross the Canso Strait and travel to Pictou for lunch. Catch an early afternoon ferry from Caribou, Nova Scotia, to Wood Islands, Prince Edward Island. Cross the Northumberland Strait, which separates Nova Scotia and New Brunswick from Prince Edward Island; these are some of the warmest waters of the North Atlantic – one of many reasons Prince Edward Island is a favorite summer resort for Eastern Canadians. Arrive in the charming capital city of Charlottetown; join us tonight for a private, exclusive evening at Founders' Hall, an interactive museum detailing the history of Canada, Prince Edward Island and the "Fathers of the Confederation." 10. Prince Edward Island
Travel through beautiful farmland of red soil, the province's best known physical feature, and view quaint fishing villages. Visit Green Gables, literary home of Lucy Maud Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables; discover more about the famous novel this evening when you attend a performance of the musical, Anne of Green Gables, season permitting. 11. New Brunswick / St. Andrews
Depart early for a drive along the south shore of Prince Edward Island to Borden-Carleton. Cross the Northumberland Strait on the Confederation Bridge, the world's longest bridge spanning ice-covered waters, to New Brunswick. Travel through Acadian towns and follow the Kennebecasis River Valley to Saint John, which is New Brunswick's largest city. Arrive in the beautiful town of St. Andrews-by-the-Sea. Meals BLD

12. Cruise to Campobello Island

Join us for a fascinating cruise through the Deer Island archipelago to Campobello Island, setting of Franklin D. Roosevelt's summer cottage. Tour this charming island before continuing to the coast of Maine and Mt. Desert Island for two nights at the Bar Harbor Inn, set on the ocean. Meals BL

13. Acadia Park / Bar Harbor
Bar Harbor
Explore Acadia National Park and Mt. Desert Island, featuring lush forests, sheltered harbors and lovely coves.
