1. Depart New York / Boston ![]() Tour departs: Hilton New York, New York City at 8:00 AM; Westin, Stamford, CT at 9:00 AM. Travel along the Connecticut coast to Old Sturbridge Village, which is a recreated New England village from the 1800's. Stroll around the Village Green, then visit the cooper shop, candle shop and country store. Enjoy a typical New England lunch at Bullard Tavern. Arrive in Massachusetts' historic capital city of Boston for the next two nights. Persons may join this tour in Boston; please see "Join Boston Credit," under pricing information. Meals LD 2. Boston / Cambridge In Boston and Cambridge, see landmarks such as Faneuil Hall, Old State House, the South Meeting House, MIT and Harvard University; visit the Old North Church. View the common where George Washington took command of the Continental Army, Radcliffe and Brattle Street, more popularly known as Tory Row. Spend the afternoon at leisure in Boston pursuing your own interests. Meals B 3. Rocky Coast of Maine Travel north along the rockbound coast through Hampton and Rye Beaches to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, to see the 18th-century homes of the merchant princes of yesteryear. Continue along the Maine coast through small towns whose inhabitants have earned their livelihood from the sea for centuries. The next two nights are spent in Bar Harbor, Maine's vacation capital. Meals BD 4. Bar Harbor / Acadia Nat'l Pk Sightsee Acadia National Park and Mt. Desert Island, boasting forested beauty, sheltered harbors, and lovely coves. Drive to the summit of Cadillac Mountain for a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean. Bar Harbor is renowned for its quaint shops, galleries and picturesque vistas, all reflecting its colorful history. The afternoon is free to explore the rocky shore, visit the town and its array of attractions and shops, or simply relax in the salt sea air of this wonderful Maine resort. Meals B 5. Maine Woods / Quebec City View the interior landscapes of Maine, with hundreds of uncharted lakes and towering timberlands. Drive via Bangor to Canada, and continue along the Chaudière River to Quebec City. At the height of its glory, Quebec was the capital of the great French empire that stretched across the entire continent of North America. See the famous Plains of Abraham and the provincial Parliament buildings as you arrive in Quebec City. The Fairmont Le Château Frontenac is your magnificent home for the next two nights. Meals BLD 6. Sightsee Quebec City Old Quebec, with its narrow, cobblestone streets, is reminiscent of traveling back to the 17th century! A brief morning sightseeing tour of Old Quebec is followed by a visit to the Shrine of Ste. Anne de Beaupré and spectacular Montmorency Falls. Spend the remainder of the day and evening at leisure exploring the city, which is noted for its wide diversity of restaurants. Meals B 7. First Class Train to Montreal Spend the morning as you please in Quebec City before traveling First Class by train to fashionable Montreal. Journey through the heart of French Canada, along the north shore of the historic St. Lawrence River. Spend the next three nights in the heart of the bilingual, multicultural city of Montreal, one of Canada's most intriguing destinations. Meals BLD 8. Explore Montreal Montreal's architecture artistically combines its old-world charm with the innovations of modern day. A sightseeing tour introduces you to the city; visit historic Notre Dame Cathedral, and see St. Joseph's Oratory, McGill University, Mount Royal, Place des Arts, old Montreal, and other sights. Your afternoon is free for you to do as you please, perhaps visiting the elegant shops of Place Ville Marie or Place Canada. Meals B 9. Laurentian Mountains Explore the scenic Laurentian Mountains today. The fertile farmland of the St. Lawrence Valley gives way to the wooded playground of the Laurentian Mountains. Arrive in the village of Mont Tremblant, where a gondola transports you to the top of the mountain to survey a panorama of natural beauty. Explore the quaint village, then return to Montreal through spectacular scenery of lush forested valleys flanked by rolling hills. Meals BD 10. Stowe / Mt. Mansfield View the pastoral beauty of Vermont's Green Mountains, traveling along country roads to the charming village of Stowe. Enjoy lunch at a historic New England inn, with time to explore the quaint village. Continue through the Vermont countryside to Killington, a popular year-round resort town. Meals BLD 11. Journey Home Drive through the Connecticut River Valley; enjoy a delightful lunch in New England before returning to New York City. Tour ends: LaGuardia Airport at 4:30 PM; Hilton New York, New York City at 5:30 PM (traffic permitting). A shuttle bus departs to JFK Airport from LaGuardia Airport every half hour.
