You have your choice of activity this afternoon for in-depth discovery of Albuquerque’s diverse cultural influences. Meals BD 3. Sandia Peak / Santa Fe Travel through picturesque desert vistas en route to Santa Fe today, stopping at Sandia Peak for a panoramic view of New Mexico from the world’s longest tramway; see varied landscapes, including canyons and lush forests, from your mountain perch 10,378 ft. above the desert floor. Arrive at the Eldorado Hotel, Santa Fe’s first AAA four-diamond, four-star hotel, for a four-night stay. Lavishly decorated with southwestern artwork, the hotel was fashioned after New Mexico’s celebrated pueblo-revival architectural style. Meals BLD 4. Choices await you in both the morning and the afternoon. Get a real feel for the city on an open-air trolley tour where you view historic areas, museums, and the highlights of Santa Fe. Alternatively, embark on a walking tour that follows in the footsteps of the city’s three cultures as you discover the artistic and historic sides of Santa Fe. These popular options must be reserved in advance as they fill quickly; ask your Tauck Director for details upon arrival in Albuquerque. Experience a true “taste” of New Mexico by attending a class at the Santa Fe School of Cooking, where you’ll learn the art of preparing Southwestern cuisine; or take a class with a professional Latin dance instructor who introduces you to the popular – and fun – steps of “Latin Jazz Dance.” Enjoy dinner at your leisure this evening.
